Learning to Play the Piano

PLEASE NOTE - I AM NOW SEMI-RETIRED
AND ONLY TAKING ON OCCASIONAL STUDENTS

What is important to you in choosing a piano teacher for yourself or your child?

If it is having a teacher who is among the best qualified (including possession of a Distinction Teaching qualification),a teacher who understands how to communicate to all ages, a teacher who has experience in performing to audiences of thousands, a teacher who is a published composer, and a teacher to whom other teachers in the area even choose to come for lessons, then you have come to the right place.

Please be aware in your search for piano lessons that, surprisingly, teaching piano is NOT a regulated business. Anyone can claim to be a piano teacher, even if they have little or no teaching qualifications and cannot even play the instrument competently. It is wise to be sure that the person you intend to employ can help you to achieve your goals.

With over 40 years full-time experience in music, there is a lot I have to offer you. I have been a fully-qualified teacher in the UK since 1984, though I have been teaching for longer than that! I have performed at major venues like the Royal Albert Hall, the NEC Arena, Wembley Arena and many others - I am a professional composer of songs which are regularly sung around the world.

In short, taking lessons with me, you will have the security of knowing you are employing a fully-qualified, well-rounded, musical practitioner.

What could be more important than that?
